How to Unite Argentina in Victoria 2 Historical Project Mod
Victoria 2 is a grand strategy game that simulates the political, economic and social changes of the 19th and early 20th centuries. One of the features of the game is the ability to form or release different countries, either by events, decisions or wars. In this article, we will explore how to unite Argentina in the Historical Project Mod (HPM), a popular mod that adds more historical flavor and realism to the game.
Argentina in 1836 is a large but sparsely populated civilized nation in the southern end of South America. It is placed among Brazil and Chile. It has a low pop density on all of its provinces meaning low production. The top export will be cattle and timber. Argentina starts as a presidential dictatorship under Juan Manuel de Rosas, who rules over the Argentine Confederation (ARC). However, not all of the Argentine provinces are happy with his rule, especially Buenos Aires (BUE), which has a separate government and a higher population and literacy. There are also other substates within ARC, such as Entre Rios (ENT) and Corrientes (COR), which have some autonomy and can rebel against Rosas.
The main goal of uniting Argentina is to form the country of Argentina (ARG), which has a flag similar to the modern one and more prestige and cores. There are several ways to achieve this, depending on which substate you start as and how events unfold. Here are some possible scenarios:
If you start as ARC, you have to wait for an event chain that starts around 1850, where ENT demands reform within the confederation. You have three choices: pass reform and become a democracy, but with a high chance of releasing BUE as a separate nation; pass reform and release BUE, but switch to playing as them; or refuse reform and go to war with ENT and its allies. If you win the war, you can choose to keep ARC or form ARG. If you lose the war, ENT will form ARG and annex you.
If you start as BUE, you have to wait for an event chain that starts around 1859, where you can either attack ARC or agree to its demands. If you attack ARC, you will start a civil war where the victor can form ARG. If you agree to ARC's demands, you will be annexed by ARC and then have a chance to form ARG.
If you start as ENT or COR, you have to wait for the same event chain as ARC, where you can demand reform within the confederation. If ARC refuses, you will go to war with them and their allies. If you win the war, you can form ARG and annex ARC. If you lose the war, you will be annexed by ARC.
As you can see, forming ARG is not an easy task, as it requires either winning a civil war or relying on RNG events. However, it is not impossible, and it can be rewarding to unite the Argentine provinces under one flag. HPM adds more historical events and decisions for Argentina, such as the Ezo Republic, the Texan Claims, the Neuchatel Crisis and more. It also adds more flavor and realism to the game in general, making it a recommended mod for Victoria 2 fans. a474f39169
