Note: Minted, Zazzle, and other gift sites used to sell personalized stamps, but the USPS discontinued the program in June 2020. You can still send mail with any leftover postage you may have bought previously.

DeJoy's plans include increasing postage rates, lengthening delivery times and reducing post office hours. In October 2021, the Postal Service started lengthening delivery times for about a third of its volume, meaning that letters, parcels and magazines that took two or three days can now take up to five to arrive.

In 2023, the current rate for non-machinable 2oz letters is the non-machineable surcharge of $0.40 added to the base rate of $0.87 (for a 2 ounce letter). A letter that weighs two ounces and is considered non-machineable will cost you $1.27 in total postage.

It is acceptable to use two 1oz forever stamps on your envelope in place of one 2oz stamp. This is allowed by the USPS and will be delivered.
